Air France 358 – crash investigation

In August 2nd 2005, 297 men, woman and children started a flight from Paris to Toronto. This airbus A340-313E ran into a storm just before the Toronto airport. The storm was so big that it was nearly invisible to see so the crew of Alain Rosaye and Frédéric Naud had to take directions from air traffic control. After that it seemed like they had landed even though it was very bumpy and everyone started to clap but then they ran out of space on the runway. The aroum a of jet fuel speed across the air…. Then a fire started to spread on the right wing. Captain Rosaye has been badly injured as his seat got ripped of but co-pilot  Frédéric  Naud has unharmed. A few minuets later… Boom. The airplane exploded. Next to the burning plane was a highway and people are very stunned by the black flame. Motorists start to help the victims and start to take them to the airport. But it doesn’t end there only 35 people air in the airport. A few hours later families rejoice and a few hours after that the incredible news that all the crew and passengers were completely fine. All 297 of them. But what went so wrong? What happened for this accident this happen? This type of airbus plane was one of the safest planes at the time. The next day canada’s transportation safety board started an investigation on the accident. All afternoon it was rain and lighting but not the light kind. But copilot Frédéric  Naud purposely do his or was it bad weather?
