During Lockdown Social Media Has been a help and a pain, in this article I am going to be talking about Social Media and how it has helped us and pained us.
During the difficult time, Social media has been one of our key things to go to when we are bored. Apps like Tik-Tok, Instagram and YouTube have all been skyrocketed to even bigger heights. Their viewership has nearly doubled, and this is a good time for new channels to jump on YouTube. This is since if we have nothing else to do and we will, sooner or later click on these channels and so will more and More until they eventually get enough subscribers or followers to get monetization. This is the same thing for vloggers and gaming channels as they upload nearly daily. But there is one area of YouTube who isn’t quite benefiting. The Animation, more specifically the Storytime. You might be asking why no other forms of animation are not benefiting and that is because there are channels which tell stories which they say are true but are not and upload nearly daily. A 10-minute Storytime animation (without assistance) will take about 2-3 months with lip-sync and motion graphics but even with help, it will take 1-2 months where this is the greatest time to give videos to your audience and your new audience.
But even though all of this may seem fine and happy there is a darker side of social media. It is very easy to get caught up in all the hype like a few months ago everyone got toilet paper, why? Because of a Social Media trend. Social Media can change the way you look at things if you like pineapple Pizza and everyone around hates it there is a chance they truly do not like it and there is a chance they like it but they do not want to be left out so they jump on the hype train. Social Media has also given us fake news this can be very dangerous as it can mislead people to violence. Say if there was this fake news that tablets can stop you from getting Covid-19 you would be pushing people out the way to get it right? But what If that was fake, what if they did not stop you. That is the dangerous part of fake news. You might think this is easy to see but people often fall into this trap and it can be very serious and might cause fights
